My name is Kathleen Thompson. I am a Certified Personal Trainer with an academic background in Rehabilitation and Gerontology, and now I use my degrees to specialize in personal and group training for women 50 and over. I understand that women over 50 typically experience decreased body metabolism, loss of muscle mass, and decreased bone density. My goal is to help you obtain your optimal level of fitness whether you are new to physical exercise or recovering from an illness or injury, so that daily health and wellness becomes a part of who you are. I will analyze your body's unique physical abilities and health concerns to create a fitness plan that will help you reach your goals. I am dedicated to working with you to keep you on track and motivated to reach these goals.
This 1 hour individual session is designed for a woman age 50 and older. The session specifically focuses on physical issues, which typically increase as we age. These issues include decreased balance, reduced muscle strength, loss of muscle tone, lack of endurance and decreased range of motion within the major joints. All of which can impact the individual's ability to perform daily activities safely. My specifically designed exercises are performed in a standing or seated position incorporating resistance bands, glider discs, Bender balls and free weights. All exercises can be adjusted based on your present abilities. Session takes place in the comfort of your home with the necessary equipment provided.
I understand that adapting new fitness habits to our changing lifestyles is difficult, especially as we get older. Whether due to illness or injury, motivation to stay physically active begins to diminish. My goal is to customize a fitness program that specifically addresses your aging issues and brings you back to a more active state of wellness. Training takes place in the comfort of your home with the necessary equipment provided.
Package includes 4 sessions. Must be used in 30 days.
Package includes 8 sessions. Complete your 8th session and receive a tee shirt. Must be used in 60 days.
